In order to refinance using the new HARP 2 Program, you must meet the following requirements:
- Your mortgage must be owned or guaranteed by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac.
- Your mortgage must have been purchased prior to June 1, 2009.
- You cannot have any 30 day mortgage late payments in the most recent 12 months.
- You must have the ability to continue making payments
- Your property must be 1-4 units.
- Program ends December 31, 2013.
